just downloaded and installed 2.8. What happened to the MEDIA tab?

If media tab is not there it means that FMOD failed to start. Are you on Linux? What version and what sound system are you using?

yes, i am on Linux UBUNTU 12.04 LTS. Different computers, all same behavior, Radegast2.6 has the MEDIA tab, Radegast 2.8 not. Even when started at the same time. I will try to post a screenshot where you can see 2.6 an 2.8 side by side. Attachments:

I think a little mistake while making that nightly build...:
~/radegast$ mono Radegast.exe
Cannot open assembly 'Radegast.exe': Permission denied.

I think a little mistake while making that nightly build...: ~/radegast$ mono Radegast.exe Cannot open assembly 'Radegast.exe': Permission denied. It's a bug in the zip program i use  you can just: chmod -R a+rx ~/radegast
