Hello everyone. I installed Radegast on my Mac yesterday, essentially using the same sort of process as for Linux. It *mostly* works out of the box, but I'm having a number of problems. Is this an appropriate forum to look for help, considering that OS/X is not an "officially supported" platform?

Hmm... It looks as if "no" is the answer to my question, but here goes anyway.
The main problem I'm having is that the "radar" window on the right of the Chat screen in Radegast seems to "refresh" over the top of all screens. This makes it difficult, and sometimes impossible, to reply to such things as teleport invitations, group notices and so on.
I have tried running Radegast using both Mono 2.6.7 (because 2.6 is recommended on the web-site), and the latest stable release 2.10.9, and the problem is common to both.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would very much prefer to run Radegast without having to resort to a virtual machine.

I will be releasing a slightly tweaked version where most stuff should work fine. For some reason the menus don't appear to work. I will post a test build so you can test.

Thank you so much for your prompt response.
Unfortunately the test build crashes on startup under mono-2.10.4. I redirected the terminal log output to a file. Do you want the log, and if so, what would be the best way to make it available to you?

Done. If different logs, or parameters will help you, please let me know.

Thank you so much for helping me get this working. Radegast for OS/X = Yay!
The "main menu items with the drop down menus work only once" Mono bug is a bit annoying, but not a disaster. A keyboard shortcut for quitting Second Life normally instead of having to crash the Radegast session would take care of the main issue.

This thread is about getting Radegast to work under OS/X, i.e. on an Apple Mac. People who can help you with Windows issues might not even bother looking in here. Have you read this page?: radegast.org/wiki/Installation

I am using Radegast 2.16 via XQuartz on OS X 10.9 Mavericks. It works for the most part but I've noticed that unlike the Windows and Linux versions, 3D viewer is not available, it doesn't even appear as a menu option.
Is there any way or future intention of the 3D viewer working in Mac OS X?
I also note that mono for OS X is now at version 3.2.7. Is there any way that Radegast can be made to work with this most recent version? Perhaps this will solve the 3D issue?
Otherwise thank you for a great piece of software, it has been most useful for me.

Mono has removed the option to run through XQuartz that Radegast needs. That's why I stated that the specific version is needed, and the link is provided where to get it. So I'm afraid this is not going to change.
As for 3D view, it instantly crashes on OS X, so I just removed the button for it there. I haven't had a chance to investigate, but I might take another look at it.

Hi, I'm having trouble even getting radegast to start. I'm using OSX elcapitan and I have xquartz installed as well as the exact version of mono 2.10.9.12 and when I launch radegast it says it doesn't have mono installed and I need to install it and to then restart the spot editor. I've been trying to get this thing to run since september of this year and it's really doing my head in. and unfortunately I need to get it running in fairly short order as I need to retire this machine and revamp it as a purely broadcast machine.
